19. DATA PROTECTION INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS

We process the data that you have sent us in connection with your application in order to check your suitability for the position (or, if applicable, other open positions in our companies) and to carry out the application process. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in this application process is primarily § 26 BDSG in the version applicable from 25.05.2018. Accordingly, the processing of the data necessary in connection with the decision on the establishment of an employment relationship is permitted.

Your applicant data will be reviewed by the HR department after receipt of your application. Suitable applications are then forwarded internally to the department managers for the respective open position. Then the further procedure is coordinated. In principle, only those persons in the company have access to your data who need it for the proper running of our application process.

Should the data be necessary for legal prosecution after completion of the application process, data processing may take place on the basis of the requirements of Art. 6 GDPR, in particular for the protection of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our interest then lies in the assertion or defence of claims.

Applicants' data will be deleted after 6 months in the event of rejection. In the event that you have consented to further storage of your personal data, we will transfer your data to our applicant pool. There, the data will be deleted after two years.

If you have been awarded a position as part of the application process, the data will be transferred from the applicant data system to our personnel information system.

The data is processed exclusively in data centers of the European Union (EU). With regard to your data, you are of course also entitled to the rights specified under Point 5 and 6.
